'Though time goes by'

This painting was perfect for my visualization of what my film would like. I would be in a forest, have an army constume on, and the sun rays beaming through the tree line, just everything about this painting resembled / reflected on what I wanted my film to look like. What makes this painting even better is that it is a real life event that the artist had expreinced first hand!!

Looking through this artists work, not only did it provide me an insight into what real army personel look like but it gave me an eye opener to see how paitings are a different aspect to war. Through these images you see men with guns and tanks in the background but it doesn't seam evil through these paintings I believe david rowland is trying to remove the evil through colour.

Yet again another perfect painting that I've used for inspration. Not only does it demonstrate what i wanted my operator to look like but also the enemy's as well as an army dog which I plan to use in my film as well!!

Corporal Shaun Jardine CGC at Al Uzayr, Maysan Province, Iraq, 9th August 2003

This painting was based upon a morning on the 9th august 2003. Corporal shaun jardine led a patrol of the 1st battalion in which they were engaged by two enemy positions under intense iraqi machine gun fire. This painting helped me picture an image in my head of how the enemies would operate and how my main character could be jumped by the enemy force!!
